Watch: The Story of Stuff

This short 20 minute movie called, The Story of Stuff is informative on the complete cycle of "stuff or goods". Personally, the truth in this movie grounds me and allows me to remember the importance of re-using and looking for used goods. Recently, I saw dumpsters full of stuff. Now this stuff was in decent condition and would have been appreciated by most if it was donated. Check out freecycle.com and other websites to recycle your goods and give to others. Hey, I just found a green star juicer on freecycle... yippie~!!  : )

Abundance

Which Thought Feels Better?
This is a simple process for generating positive thoughts. The more positive thoughts you generate, the less room there is for negative thoughts and the more positive thoughts become second nature to you. Think about an aspect of your life you feel needs some improvement. List five thoughts that relate to it. Which of those five thoughts made you feel better? Keep that thought, scratch out the others. Now, you need to come up with a thought that makes you feel even better in relation to this aspect of your life. Keep doing it until you have five thoughts, each making you feel better than the last.

Self Energy Healing

What is energy?
Am I just a physical body?
Am I aware of the energy I hold within my being?
How do I move my energy?

Energy causes things to happen around us and exist throughout the entire universe.  It exists not only as an energy field around every living thing, but also circulates through the earth, through the atmosphere around us and throughout nature. The flow of this energy connects everything that exists, and you, as a living being, are taking in this energy at every moment. You are always drawing this life energy into your own energy field, and it is this energy that supports your life, as well as the life of all you seek to heal.

Energy Healing Exercise
Stand shoulder width distance, with both feet rooting equally into the ground, spine nice and long, hands down by your side.
Then feel and see the energy coming into your body, up from the earth, down from the sky, and from the atmosphere all around you.
( This will be different for each being and anytime you perform this exercise, so please remain open without any expectations. For me, I sometimes feel a tingling sensation or sometimes heat. )
Now, scan your whole body from head to toe and reverse back as much as possible. Optional to visualize white light from the heavens or angels as you scan, making it easier to visualize.
After this exercise, lay down and allow yourself to absorb the energy you created, and allow yourself to process it. This could manifest emotions or thoughts that have been "stuffed" inside or it could bring up something important that you have been ignoring also. Allow this is be a healing meditation.

So how does Shiatsu relate to energy you ask?

Well, Shiatsu is an art form of moving 'life force energy' throughout your body using the meridian system.   This life force energy-often referred to as chi, qi or ki- is believed to be responsible for maintaining the body’s balance of yin and yang, opposite energies that cannot exist without the other. An imbalance between yin and yang are thought to contribute to the development of any number of health issues or illnesses; this belief system includes the idea that the body’s systems and internal organs are associated with different qualities of yin and yang.

Shiatsu is Japanese and means "finger pressure". It is the name for the oldest type of medicine: "Healing with the hands". It uses the pressure of the hands on certain Tsubos (pressure points) and manipulative techniques in order to correct the physical structure of the body and adjust the natural internal energy.

Old Asiatic lessons say that permanent stagnation in the flow of life vigor can be manifest itself in illness, pain or feeling unwell. Shiatsu can prevent this stagnation and help to overcome it. It can stabilize the functions of the human body, stimulates the autonomous nervous system, and deeply effect the functions of all internal organs.

The positive effects of Shiatsu on the physical level bring out a change on the feeling level, too. Emotional stability and internal composure are supported and an internal balance is achieved, that is necessary to be in harmony with yourself and with those around you. Shiatsu is used for the relaxation and regeneration of the human body and soul.

This type of bodywork helps to activate the internal natural human strength and repair existing internal disturbances. In the last years it achieved worldwide recognition.
